Circuit-controlled power switch manual override

Post by MalcolmCooks »

I use lots of power switches, usually connected to the circuit network, to turn parts of my factory on and off as needed. But a lot of the time I want to cut power to an area while I make alterations, and the power switch is circuit-controlled, so can't be switched manually. Usually what I do then is alter the circuit condition and change it back when I'm done, but it would be convenient to be able to manually override the switch state. I realise I could put two switches in series but that seems redundant.

Could you put a constant combinator near it set to change the values of its inputs such that it turns off?

The constant combinator has a builtin on/off function that would make it suitable for this.
In my mind, Steam is the eternal king of the railway.

another solution is to have a power switch in series with the networked one. you could shut the networked one off with that.
if you wanted a bypass you could wire one parallel with the networked switch.
