When I copy from a factory and paste to a requester chest I'd like to have the factory's demands (what it needs to make thing X) copied into the chest's logistics demands.
Right now i have to open and close windows four or five times to switch between them and confirm I've got things right.
Copy from factory to requester chest

Re: Copy from factory to requester chest
Someone on reddit suggested this should also work for green inserters.
I notice right now if I copy from a grey factory to a blue or vice versa it screws up the instruction, even if the instruction should be valid.

If you want a green inserter with inputs matching an assembler and no other condition, use a blue inserter.

Dave - I think the idea is to set up quicker. copy all the settings, then remove the few you don't need. still less back and forth than the current method.
Re: Copy from factory to requester chest
Right now the copy-paste system works off "last copied entity of the type you're trying to paste onto". How would you suggest it work when pasting settings onto a requester chest? The chest wouldn't know if you wanted to copy a previous copied requester chest or if you're trying to copy any one of multiple assembler's you might have previously copied.
The only solution to that that I can think of would be to check if there are any inserters trying to pull from the chest and put into an assembler and check the settings on that assembler. But, even then what if you didn't want to do that but instead wanted to simply copy another requester chest?
