Non-combat personal equipment

TL;DR
Increase personal equipment options for peaceful games.
What ?
Simple equipment options that aren't related to offense or defense. A relatively easy type of equipment would be an equipment prototype that replicates the same bonuses that are already available with passive tech bonuses or character prototype attributes, such as:
Reach/build distance/pickup distance/etc
Crafting/mining speed
Character inventory bonus
Personal "radar" distance
Ability to walk over aboveground pipes like Squeakthrough.
For mods only: Add extra hand crafting/mining categories
Why ?
The game offers a diverse array of combat equipment, but for players in a peaceful game, personal equipment can feel like an afterthought.
If players had more competition for their equipment slots, it would encourage greater specialization and customization, and players might make more use of the ability to have multiple suits of armor with different equipment layouts.
Modded personal equipment that doesn't precisely match a vanilla category of equipment can be complicated to mod.
