select by area when editing blueprints

Post by mrvn »

TL;DR
When editing a blueprint one should be able to select an area and everything within gets removed or added back (shift).

What ?
When editing a blueprint and one clicks at an empty spot and drags this should select the area. When releasing the mouse button all entities within the area should be removed. If no entities are present then tiles should be removed. When shift is pressed then bring back items/tiles.

With tiles it's kind of hard to click at an empty spot so there an empty spot could mean a ghosted tile (or not ghosted with shift).
Why ?
Because we still don't have a proper blueprint editor. *sigh* But this should be easy to implement in the current GUI.

Editing large blueprints is near impossible. Dragging along a 2 pixel wide transport belt line for 100 belts is near impossible without missing a bunch. It would be much easier to click&drag a box around the belt line and everything in the box gets removed.

This is a good idea, besides that there is still a big need for a bp-editor.
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Exactly that.
