More wagons types [Roboport, Turret, Battery, Logistic...]

So, I'm trying to expand on my map, and it become sometimes a little bit painful (but I'm certainly doing it in a wrong way ^^")(I must had I'm playing vanilla :)). It gave me the idea of a Roboport-wagon. The Roboport needs energy to recharge the constructors... so a wagon looks like a good structure : and you could put at it solar panels for example. Or there could be... solar panels wagon (which you could eventually "deploy" when stopped). Generator wagon (uses fuel to provide electricity ?). And eventually [laser] turrets-wagon (which could be deployed too when train is stopped). Provider/storage chest wagons.
I saw some threads talking a little about this kind of ideas, but never saw the idea of a roboport-wagon, which could be useful : you could have all your robots into it, your materials too. You stop your train not too far your actual construction site, and you only have to build one or two roboport to make the link between construction site and your train/robots/materials.

Thanks for this nice summary of ideas. In my opinion sometime such summaries are much more worth than single ideas, cause it is like a good meal: Soya-sauce alone tastes not very good, but together with some vegetables it's delicious.

Roboport wagons has been made as experimental mod, but I don't link it, cause I doubt, that it is still working.
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

My first idea alone was a little "short" (roboport-wagon), so I thought developing it and making further researches on the forum (and put interesting related links) could be a good idea ! Now I think having multiple sorts of wagons could be really useful and interesting.

I haven't found it, but was sure it exist somewhere, when I saw there is a "logistics wagons" mod.

I modified some very few things from my OP, and added the idea of a generator wagon.

Sadly pocket bots mod don't work on MP, that (or any other mobile roboport) would be awesome thing while building remote outposts. Also rest of things is something I like, though logistic train wagons may make normal stations useless.

These wagon types were existent in 5dim's trains module. They were pretty awesome however unfortunately one of the makers of that mod had his hard drive die on him or something and it looks like it's a dead mod :(

Interesting, but I liked the idea of having a kind of "train-base" that you could module depending what you want/need, giving the train a new potential usage other than transport. But pockets bots will be very useful, that's certain.

as lots of People are requesting different types of cars, i lately had the idea of making a "flexible" car. Sure this will be a challenge implementing but maybe you can use the "power armor" Feature for it:

You have one/more platform cars of different size which enable a "normal" Building grid. So for example a short length with a grid of 2x4. you can put 2 laser turrets, if your Train is electrical powered, or 2 gun turrets for steam/diesel locomotives. (yes i presume that there is some Kind of electrical engine/power supply later). This way you're able make whatever car you Need on your own, with items already implemented. For example simply putting some logistic chests, or a roboport. Maybe a mixture, put a gun turret, and some chests with ammo and repair packs, 2nd car holds the roboport, so you have a self maintaining wartrain.

you could easily put fluid tanks or even factories onboard and manufacture goods while driving. In my eyes this would reduce implementation to only a single complex item, but enables all Features currently inserted with lots of mods and specific items.

i saw this Collection about god know what threads related to Trains/tanks moving equip, but unfortunately its very hard to see where what items are suggested and discussed. Not sure if the devs suffer the same Problem ;)
