The sound from electric mining drill is irritating

Is possible to stop the sound from the drill ? That pitch sound is laud .... i don't know what to say. I don't like it.

Replace it with a trumpet sound if you want. Sounds are located in [Factorio install folder]\data\base\sound. the one you're looking for is electric-mining-drill.ogg.

Here is an example of how I lowered the volume of the radar. You can use it as an example of how to change the volume or sound file to what you want.

I just wanted to second this. There's a high pitched whine in the sound effect for the electric mining drill that is extremely annoying and unpleasant for me (to the extent that it turns me off from playing this game).
