I wanted some foresty map with a lot of biters, so I have put trees and biters on maximum setting. Trees were generated ok but there was not a single biter on entire map.
It would make much more sense and give some additional gameplay choices if the biter bases deleted trees around rather than the opposite.
Spawner generation priority

Maybe collision of spawner and tree generation could result in removing enough trees to place at least a certain fraction (50%?) of the spawners you would have generated without collision. Thus, when you ramp up both trees and biters you will not end up in a world without trees.
