If Factorio used a custom cursor style, I'd probably turn that off.
I had enough bad experience with custom cursors, the most time it won't work correctly for me.

fun fact i wannted to share: i bougth Factorio at 50 PEN (20 USD) time ago, yesterday i saw they lowed the price to 35PEN (~13 USD), FOREVER NOW XD i lost 15 PEN (~7 USD)

What could happen is that Steam automatically adjusts the price depending on the exchange rates, average income, ect.

According to google: 20 euros = 75.6229 Peruvian soles, was 75.1ish when i checked yesterday. So you're still "saving" lots of money

I think the main reason we can't have a cursor is that it would - like the rest of the gui - be UPS limited. So megafactories with <60ups would become unplayable as the cursor starts stuttering.
Generally i'm all for custom cursors _if_ they're context sensitive. For example hovering over ore the cursor might become a pickaxe, on trees a normal axe, and when building something it could vanish completely because you're already holding an item that becomes "the cursor".
Ages ago(tm) games used to have custom cursors with the option to turn them off (which was called "hardware cursor" back then). For 1.0 i think this would pretty much be a requirement.

Let's have a mouse cursor specifcally for factorio, the gear icon comes to mind. But lets hear more ideas/animation below

The regular windows mouse keeps throwing me (us) out of... The word escapes me

There should be a factorio themed cursor in game.

•I think it would look nice if the mouse cursor in game was factorio/ industrial/ rusty metal themed, if that's possible.
•There should also be a option to turn it back to normal if it's hard to see.

If there are any mods that do this please let me know.
