Fixing chest flickering in alt mode

Right now if you have items going both in and out of a chest as a buffer (either via inserted or a loader mod) the image of the chest contents in alt mode will flicker, sometimes several times a second.

This is super off-putting and it would likely make sense to only update the image every few frames and adjust the opacity based on the percentage of frames where the chest had items in it. This would allow people to still visualise whether there's more supply to or demand from the chest without flickering.

Maybe longer term you could configure the delay the average happens over but simply updating to every five frames instead of one would probably help a lot.
