Option to output negative signals. [Circuit Network]

Post by rarrmonkey »

TL;DR
Devices such as roboports could have an option to output their signals as negative values by checking a box in the gui.
What ?
A checkbox labeled "Polarity" in the Circuit Network gui of roboports, chests, train stops, fluid tanks, conveyor belts, inserters and accumulators.
An option in the Circuit Network gui for Decider Combinators ie "Input Count", "1" or "-1"
Why ?
I find many circuits could be simpler if an output signal was negative from it's source instead of adding Aritmetic Combinators to Each*-1 = Each

Decider Combinators generally should have output input and output value with a field to enter whatever you want instead of the fixed 1.
That alone would remove a lot of arithmetic combinators in my circuit designs.

No. Circuit interfaces must be as simple as possible. Any non-trivial work must be done with combinators. "Circuit setups are large and complex" isn't and argument.
