Ability to REPAIR vehicle and buildings while driving vehicles

TL;DR

Why is it you can mine rocks and trees while driving but can't repair your vehicle?

What ?

The car gets damaged by trees and rocks but not cliffs? This is annoying, enough, but having to leave the vehicle to make repairs while somewhat "realistic" seems unnecessary. Why not have the ability to make repairs on the fly while driving or riding in vehicles/

Why ?

This ability would make map exploration easier and vehicles less cumbersome.

I would imagine so you can't just sit in your vehicle using a repair kit while biters attack you.

Sounds about right.
Well, if you ignore the other stuff you can do while in a vehicle. Mine rocks, trees, etc.
Throw grenades.
Have functional lasers in your powered armor. How does it get out of the tank without having a hole or something?

But yea. Its probably so you can't repair while fighting effectively.

Problem mostly solvable with personal roboport, now that the robots won't leave if you're driving faster than they can keep up!
