Train ID as Constant Combinator

One big improvement for me (and maybe others) would be:
Add a Constant Combinator to trains so that the Unique Train ID could be set by the player and it could include multiple signals.
Would be a great improvement on stations with multiple trains wit different content

I would like this option as well. I have been playing around with direct production from and to trains (basically a train driving into a bunch of assemblers) and I want to be able to carry recipes and instructions in the train itself (filtering gets you almost there but not entirely). The train being able to emit signals would be very useful for this.

This has already been suggested half a year ago in the following thread:

As I have stated in that thread, I am strongly in favor of the suggestion.

Also, in the following thread, I suggested that not just stations should be able to read the train ID, but also track signals when a train passes it:
