after launching a rocket / more things to do

Post by robertserglis »

in vanilla once you launch a rocket that is it you have finished the game unless you still have something left to automate there is really nothing left to do and the new setting configurations can make the game fore fun but the ending is all ways the same and can get boring

what could happen is that once you have made a rocket you could get into that rocket and travel to different planets and build more bases there and you might say well whats the point we can kill bitters quickly at that point but introducing other enemies like space pirates could add more difficulty at that stage as just as in the start of the game bitters are more power full than you space exploration could be same as you start with a simple rocket going to different planets and annoying the enemy could lead them to dislike you and want to kill you this would lead the science tree to expand a lot as you would need to research better ways of defending your ship and improving it

another idea is that once you leave the planet you are open to exploring more planets and these planets could hold more ores such as titanium gallium gold and so on to make more advanced things than you could before also expanding the tech tree and taking the first idea you could also have enemies that have bases on planets like bitters but these bases would contain things like turrets and other things that might be used by an advanced civilisation once you take over these bases you could be rewarded things depending of the difficulty of the base so small bases would give you basic things like circuits and ores while much bigger bases could give you turrets and rare ores and the further away you get from the planet you started on the enemies would get more difficult to planets close to you might contain weak enemies so that people just leaving their planet wont be surrounded by difficult enemies and wont get a unfair advantage

What could happen is that once you have made a rocket you could get into that rocket and travel to different planets and build more bases there. And you might say "Well whats the point?". We can kill bitters quickly at that point but introducing other enemies like space pirates could add more difficulty at that stage. Just as in the start of the game bitters are more powerfull than you. Space exploration could be the same, as you start with a simple rocket going to different planets and annoying the enemy could lead them to dislike you and want to kill you. This would lead the science tree to expand a lot as you would need to research better ways of defending your ship and improving it.

Another idea is that once you leave the planet you are open to exploring more planets. These planets could hold more ores such as titanium, gallium, gold and so on, to make more advanced things than you could before and also expanding the tech tree. And taking the first idea further, you could also have enemies that have bases on planets, like bitters, but these bases would contain things like turrets and other things that might be used by an advanced civilisation. Once you take over these bases you could be rewarded things depending of the difficulty of the base, so small bases would give you basic things like circuits and ores while much bigger bases could give you turrets and rare ores. The further away you get from the planet you started on the enemies would get more difficult. Planets close to you might contain weak enemies so that people just leaving their planet wont be surrounded by difficult enemies and wont get a unfair advantage.
FTFY.
