When I check the pollution tab on my map, I usually have a very simple question: how far is my pollution cloud reaching? Doe it touch any enemy bases?
I've been having trouble with this, because the pollution cloud is pretty low-contrast at its edges, so I really have to squint to even find the edge.
Here's my request: make the edge higher contrast somehow -- either by darkening the pollution cloud (we can switch it off now so there's not as much need to keep it transparent) or by putting an outline around the edge so we can see the border better.

Re: Higher Contrast Pollution Cloud
Even if a pollution could does not touch an enemy base, that does not mean that the enemy base isn't absorbing any pollution. It could be that the pollution cloud in the chunk of the enemy base is gone because the enemy base is absorbing everything.

Yes. See explanation in the wiki https://wiki.factorio.com/Radar#Invisib ... of_the_Map
AFAIK it is 3 chunks of border generated around any once activated chunk. The World Generator creates a "border" of invisible chunks around each chunk, that becomes active at some time. Active chunks are those that become charted or those that are active because the pollution spreads onto them.
