Splitters, boats and stuff

This game is really great, but there are some things I personally think would be good to implement.
First of all, I would really like a feature that would make it easier to split items in a certain ratio. For example some kind of new splitter with a special research, which could also be connected to the circuit network.
I think the game needs some way to get over bodies of water, like swimming or boats. Boats could be either wooden, which could be controlled only manually, or advanced, which would work similarly as trains do. This would eliminate the chance of spawning on a little island with no way of gathering resources, if there are none or you run out of them.
Maybe some improvements to the circuit network would be nice - for example something like a "time combinator", which would either output the input with some delay, or output a pulse in a specific interval (I know there are ways to do this, but they're kinda ugly). Also some device, that would test, if there are specific entities nearby (maybe each entity could have a signal, like biters or players).
A "control seat" building - you could sit on it and the thing would output the state of your keyboard into the circuit network (if you wanted to make a game in Factorio, this would come in handy).
And finally, one thing that I would really like to be implemented, is a sign - it would be a passive building showing an user defined icon and an user defined message when you hover over it with the cursor.
