It would be nice to have a blueprint type which would allow player upgrading one type of item to another.
For example I want to upgrade all regular transport belts in an area to express ones.
Currently: It's a hard task if the setup is complex and would involve a lot of manual work
Desired: With the "Upgrade" blueprint I would configure "Upgrade" blueprint to upgrade "transport belt" to "express transport belt" and select an entire area. My robots would then remove all regular belts and replace them with express ones, or put "ghosts" if I'm lacking express ones.
In properties of an "Upgrade" blueprint player would have to specify two items:
1. Item which is the target of upgrade (regular transport belt in my example)
2. Desired item (express transport belt in my example)
Ideally items must be of the same size (can't really upgarde regular electric poles to substations because of teh different amount of space they use)
"Upgrade" blueprint
Re: "Upgrade" blueprint
Hm. For me this is a mod, not a game element.
Should I move it to mods?
Should I move it to mods?
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Re: "Upgrade" blueprint
Well if such functionaity can be achieved in game either by mod or game feature I'm happy with it =) Feel free to move to mod requests if it'll increase chances of getting it =)
