If you spawn on a small island, there is no way to get off, so you have to make a new world. Swimming! When you enter deep water you start swimming. A blue bar pops up for your breath. If it runs out before you return to dry land, your health starts quickly depleting until you are dead. Maybe a deploy-able flotation device could let you swim for longer.

You also could paly another kind of game here then. Fishing is a good alternate for building factories. You can try to fish as many fishes as possible before you fall asleep . You can also combine this with Achivements.

1 Hours. You dislike coffee.
4 Hours. You know what coffee is and how tu USE it.
8 Hours. You are experienced in using coffee.
24 Hours. You can not live without coffee.
48 Hours. A medic has arrived your home to try to revive you.
72 Hours. A Grim Reaper appears.

Just mouseover and hold down the mouse button. You can even use fishes to regenerate health.
