If one could place trains (locs and wagons) on track with an inserter one could make an interesting train depot/ manufacturing plant.
some circuit magic + set train instructions like the smart station mod and extra trains can get added to the train network on demand!!!

Re: Place new train on rail with inserters
I fully support this, we should have an actuator building type?
Re: Place new train on rail with inserters
For me that's too much "magic".
I would prefer a specialized building to do that "building" part: Feed wagons, loco and fuel into that building and then you have some kind of GUI, click, click, click, click, rotate, click, and can create a train with it.
And my currently preferred idea goes like so: Basically working as the depot in OpenTTD. You can create trains (including a schedule) by "copying" an existing train.

Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.
