Locking the movement of Bp's via hotkey
Placing Blueprints, especially large and very large one's(the one's bigger than your screen), sometimes is a trial of patience regarding to align everything properly. My idea was to lock either the horizontal or vertical movement of a blueprint while holding a hotkey (or a combo) in the time before the blueprint is placed and the player char has to move around.

Some kind of "X/Y-lock-mode" sounds useful, but that lock-mode is also useful for other things!

Hm. That grabs the problem with big blueprints only at the hairs.
For me there is a significant difference in handling small blueprints and big ones.
For big blueprints, I want to have a very different mode.
For selecting:
When I move the edges the area around the edge I currently move is zoomed in.
For editing:
An in-game "map-editor"
For pasting:
Like for selecting, you can see only those parts zoomed, that have already build entities.
