Got a funny idea about adding waste disposal to the game:

It could be necessary when machinery produces a lot of fluid waste, you could suck it with hoses and flush it through pipes into a lake (and make it neon green). The polluted lake could spawn mutants after a while, who could be hostile to everybody including the bitters :o But if you don't remove the harmful waste fluid, you could slowly lose life while walking on it. :geek:

Another complementing idea is to put the waste fluid into barrels, and then strap them to a ballistic rocket. The rocket could be fired at distant bitter nests to make them agitated (this could also produce mutations in them, giving random traits). :twisted:

Love the idea. The pollution needs to be less abstract.
Although, assemblers come too early in the game for byproduct management, so maybe only oil related production should have this trait.
But then there is already so much piping around oil industry D:

Nice to hear that someone likes the idea :)

It could also be done through a special car / drone that navigates through the base and sucks waste in, adn then dumps it somewhere else.

Liquid waste was suggested and talked about quite a lot, so it will probably be in game eventually.
No mutants though. For polluting a lot you already get more evolved biters. Later on in development we will probably get more evolved enemies than just biters: spiters and fliers, for example.
