The objective of Factorio is to build a rocket to launch into space? Lets actually go to space; send ourselves up(don't have to include flight simulation, just a coordinate grid or something) and set up an off-world factory, have space barges to transport resources to and from space, with perhaps a new structure to build ships. Could include new resources and new technology, such as next tier processing units to be used in zero gravity(and streamline resource production on the home planet), etc. Friendly merchants to trade with, and mercenaries to aid you when you're invading alien infested planets to harvest their rich resource deposits would be pretty awesome. Boats or bridges would be good on a side-note.
