Option to not close console after typing a command

Would be really useful to have the option of not automatically closing the console after every command is typed.

Right now if you're debugging something, testing, etc., you have to re-open the console every single time you type something.

Took a break from 0.12.29 to 0.17.79, and then to ... oh god now it's 1.something. I never know what's happening.
