I think it would be amazing if the game would save a time lapse of the map screen.
I was playing co-op with a friend and our factory just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Then we got to thinking about how it looked like when we begun, how we built it up etc. and thought that a time lapse would look very interesting. In the map screen, the factory looks complicated enough to seem kinda like a computer circuit, so it'd be nice to see how it grew to be.
Maybe the game would present you with the time lapse when you launch your first rocket? It would be a sort of surprise reward. Launching the rocket would also mean that the player(s) have reached a sort of milestone of complexity, ensuring that the revealed time lapse would be interesting.
I tried searching for similar suggestions, all I found was a mod to save a screenshot time lapse of the base. It suffered from the problem that they're just screenshots. Sometimes it would be night, you could see text when he happened to be picking something up etc. Besides, I think that the map time lapse would be enough anyways, maybe somehow even cooler. You know your base, you know what's what on the map. The file size would be smaller too if you just save the map.
Time lapse of the map (maybe as a rocket launch reward?)

You don't find it as suggestion cause it's already implemented. Factorio saves a replay-save. If you use that, you can do such stuff easily.
Only thing missing is the interface.

Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Also, if you update the game during the playthrough, replay is disabled. If you want your replay, don't update
