It's be neat to have lamps that could give off RGB values.
A lamp's red color is bound to 1 iron plate. If there is at least 1 iron plate in the system, the lamp would give off a [1,0,0] light.
This lamp's blue color is then bound to 100 copper plates. There are 50 copper plates in the system, so the lamp would give off [1, 0.5, 0] light.

Re: RGB Lamps
Multi lamp colors are already announced: https://www.factorio.com/blog/post/fff-122
They might not be full 32-bit RGB, but at least multiple colors will be supported.

Re: RGB Lamps
A better way to do this would be circuit network conditions. The RGB value can be bound to any circuit condition you want then.
However this needs three differnt signal conditions on the lamp! Better would be to use a single Hue channel, then?
