Add a key to the game that while pressed makes the player move slower (eg. 25%).
eg. normal speed 30km/h ~ walk speed 7.5km/h
When using many Exo-skeletons and Concrete you are to fast for you factory.
A current 'solution' is to have 2 armors (slow and a fast).
I would compare it to a fps (first person shooter) eg. counter strike
- pressing Shift would let you do a 'silent walk'
Call it walk, crawl, precision walk or turtle walk...
Thank you

Re: Add key: press to walk
Ability to hold key and click at a location to path there, and if on a belt, move against it if possible, to place yourself with precision and not get displaced by belts would be really nice.
Hold hotkey, click location. You walk there, pathing like a biter would. At said location, you stop, and if on a belt, you walk automatically in the other direction until you issue a move command via normal keys or using said command again. If its a excessively fast belt, from a mod, such that you can't actually walk faster than it, then you will walk at max speed to minimize slide.
Would solve problem, but in a far more functional way, and would solve the second issue as well.

That F key modification doesn't belong in this thread. It is entirely off-topic.

Re: Add key: press to walk
This would solve my problem IF that path-finding algorithm would have more fine-grained control over the movement at high speed.
If it does the same steps like my movement buttons, +-5 tiles/short press, it won't work.
My current solution is to have parquet flooring(mmod) which slows down movement speed by 30%

Re: Add key: press to walk
Another interim solution to this problem could be the Staff of Teleportation mod, which should let you move your character to the specific clicked location, although it won't solve you getting pushed around by belts.

A key to walk slowly while having fast running armor would be useful, e.g shift.
To pick up items of belts, pressure plate mods, ...
Thanks!

Re: Add key: press to walk
I added it also here, even it's not 100% matching. viewtopic.php?f=80&t=307
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.
