Character Logistic Slots by stacks
It would be nice if we could select how many stacks of an item to keep in our inventory. Perhaps this could be a toggle-able preference?

I agree, but not only on the character.Avarant wrote:It would be nice if we could select how many stacks of an item to keep in our inventory. Perhaps this could be a toggle-able preference?
The filters for the logic networks need a rework. The max size of 20000 is quite low. This should either be higher, or typable. This way, we can have better logic networks.

I haven't reached that problem yet, but hopefully I willDysoch wrote:I agree, but not only on the character.Avarant wrote:It would be nice if we could select how many stacks of an item to keep in our inventory. Perhaps this could be a toggle-able preference?

The main reason I want to be able to select how many stacks is 1) So you don't have so many partial stacks taking up space in inventory, and 2) Because it's annoying to have to remember all the different stack sizes for different items.

Umm I'm a bit confused... how is 'max size of 20k' too low? When it completely fills your inventory pretty much regardless of what you select. I can't think of anything that you can stick more than 20k of in your inventory. Even wires which have afaik the max stack size of 256 would require 78 slots if you select 20k. That is more slots than you have in your inventory. Now I will concede that if you have unlocked the extra toolbar you can use that as extra storage space giving you an additional 20 slots to your 60 slot inventory. Which means you can effectively fill all but one of those slots.Dysoch wrote:I agree, but not only on the character.Avarant wrote:It would be nice if we could select how many stacks of an item to keep in our inventory. So really unless you are modding your game to add more inventory space, 20k is certainly more than enough. And even if it isn't, there is a very VERY simple way around it. Sit in your 'staging' area. Set 20k for whatever item it is you want. Wait til filled. Drop a couple chests. Dump it all into said chests. Your bots will 'refill' the 20k order. So you then have 40k. Rinse & repeat you then have 60k. See where I'm going with this? There is really no need to change that particular aspect of the system. Sure it could be made a bit more intuitive perhaps, but it works great as it is setup right now. What I would like to see personally is an OPTION that you can set to change it to multiples of whatever the stack size is. Or even just 'x stacks' rather than x amount. But this should be completely optional. And it shouldn't go up to insane numbers that don't make any sense either. Cause once you reach a certain point you're going to fill your inventory anyway. Even if you have 5M of whatever it is you want. You'll fill your inventory and then you'll have to dump it. In which case the logistics aspect needs no alteration, the order will be refilled.

I think he was referring to the filter for the logistics network, aside from the player's inventory.
Re: Character Logistic Slots by stacks
Ah, that's the circuit network not the logistics network. Easy to confuse the two given that they can be connected lol. That and the fact that the topic I thought was specific to character logistics.Avarant wrote:I think he was referring to the filter for the logistics network, aside from the player's inventory.
