Damage/attack indicator

It would be nice if the radar provided a way to see incoming attack within a radius and provided something for the player to be able to timely respond

A radar would have a detection radius and show a red arrow on the screen border for pointing to enemy group that are within the radius but outside the player view

You see them if you built radar. And when you press M you see the attack on the map. What's missing is, that the attack also is shown on minimap. But I'm sure the devs already know that.
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

I see the map dots if that's what you mean but I have to check the map, I would just need something to alert me explicitly if i am focused somewhere

(Maybe i missed it I have a radar but unsure to which clue to look after)

How would you distinct an incoming attacking alien from an alien moving in your direction?

I'd say that radar could have an upgrade "Early warning" that when researched, the radar will make some noise when enemies come to its range.
