Minor problem but: Setting cargo to "less than" zero shouldn't be possible since it's impossible to have negative inventory (...right...?)
This will silently fail, and if you just add a cargo criteria and set it to zero, this is the default case:

This has never caused problems for me, in fact making the default impossible to satisfy is helpful as it lets you configure things before it moves.
I've previously had problems where I create a train and don't finish seting up it's schedule and then it goes round in circles and I have to chase it....

It's not failing and it's not silent, the condition is clearly shown and it's evaluating the condition properly.
If your suggestion is that the default state for the comparison selection should be "=" instead of "<", then I would understand. Until they invent neural interfaces for Factorio, you're going to have to click something to show your intention.
