- Being on the planet enables the player to reinforce defenses and generally respond faster, making defense a bit easier
- Dealing with attacks is more fun when the player can get involved directly
- Players are (probably--I know I am) more likely to meaningfully improve their defenses if they're present when they discover them to be insufficient, reducing long-term frustration

Increase pentapod attacks when player is on Gleba
Maybe this sounds crazy, but I want more and/or bigger pentapod attacks while I'm present on Gleba. The main reason is that when I built my first Gleba base, pentapods didn't become a real threat until after I'd left, so my entire base was designed with no experience of pentapod defense. This made the attacks after I left more punishing, because my whole base was vulnerable in its design. Other reasons are:

-1, i'd rather they increase altogether (but people already struggle as-is) if anything because this effectively punishes you for playing on gleba physically, which i think is terrible.
