TL;DR
Rename a train station with key press R as it station cannot rotate while next to track.What ?
When you hover your mouse pointer over a train station and press R it brings up the change name box to add the name.the key could be rebind-ed to another if needed based upon the player needs or play style.
The middle click mouse button could also be used to quickly rename the station
in the control settings it will be called Rename Entity. eg Applicable to Spidertron, Train Station that are re-namable.
Why ?
A quality of life as its very annoying to click on the station/spider then click on rename to change name.We use stations allot and this will make it feel natural for players to use it to quickly rename a station with one key press
