Add a visual performance profiler that lets people know at a glance why their game has low UPS.
What ?
Dyson Sphere Program has a great statistics panel called Performance Test - https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/atta ... pg.243504/ . It is kind of like Factorio's F4 debug menu, except it is more of a user-facing feature and it is way more intuitive to read than a test printout. Something like that would be a really neat way to understand what's going on with your game for both power users and casuals alike.
Why ?
While the current debug can give you all the information you need, it is sometimes hard to parse. The numbers shift every tick, sometimes the entities shuffle around, you need to know what you are looking at to even understand everything. A GUI profiler like the one DSP uses that displays that information in a user friendly manner, lets you drill down to individual details and has a nice graphical component to it would make understanding why your game runs slowly much more intuitive.
