I'm running a server for my family / close friends on my Mac Studio. In order to play on the same Mac where I'm hosting the server, I need to install the game twice (1.98 GB each), once in Steam and once directly via factorio.com download.
It would be great to have a headless version for arm64/aarch/apple silicon.
Is this feasible?

What prevents you from running it in headless mode?

Re: MacOS (Apple Silicon) Headless Server
Headless mode can be ran on virtually any modern OS. I use windows server as it has the best threaded performance and minimal footprint upon the memory. processors, and storage.
