Biters with a factory mind

Evolving biters
Biters evolve either with your progression or with their own factory mind.

Changing the one track mind of the biters.
With the process complexity of the factories I expected more of the mental processes going on in the biter AI.
Imagine what the game would look like if biters evolve with new abilities and interaction. Foraging storing socializing environmental mapping etc.

And I over-layed a different interpretation of those processes imagining how it would function as an AI mind so that the function blueprints can be reused while you tier up.

More visual cues to show what's going on in the biters mind would be useful.
To make doing science on the alien (our home?) planet fascinating.
Learn how to establish process communication with the aliens, communicate with lights and sounds, use your knowledge of material science to establish a symbiosis, defend biter bases from other biters. Use their knowledge of the land to make way for new resources from the underground.
