Rail planner avoidance mode without elevated rails

I love the natural-looking railways sneaking around forests and cliffs that the avoidance mode creates. I also love elevated rails, but mainly in intersections and and over unbuildable surfaces (water, oil ocean etc). So it pains me that right now researching elevated rails completely ruins the avoidance mode as it always opts to just go elevated almost immediately. I would like to have a way to prevent it, a config option, keybind, even a the ability to tweak the pathfinding weight of going elevated would suffice
