Hi,
I think it would be possible to integrate the current crafting menu with the item request and auto trash menu. This would enable users to quickly find the items they want request/trash when they are already requesting/trashing it.
For example, many people I play with maintain X copper, iron & green circuits so they can craft things as needed. When it comes time to change the amounts they are holding, it has to be found in an essentially random list. If however the auto trash & request slots used the layout (or was directly integrated into) the crafting menu, then people could use the locations they already know.
I'm not to sure what would be the best way of integrating it, but possibly a right-click popup menu to set both request & trash amounts may be a good start (as to not clash with the current left click to build) that brings up two sliders, one for request & one for auto-trash. Then the numbers could then be displayed on the icons, so you can instantly see the range for each item.
If that does not work then maybe a tab-based system, eg "Craft", "Request", "Trash". Then you could click on each one and have a slider (as you do now) to set the relevant amounts once an item was selected in the sub-menu (as the current item selection works at the moment).
I think that such a change would be easier both for new players and existing players.

Crafting menu has recipes, not items.
