- meant for Vanilla and to discuss; I know there are mods...

Recharge station: a small tower, where robots only go to recharge if in need of power. It hasn't space for robots or repair packs, doesn't increase the logistic robot's area or connect in any way, and might only recharge one single robot. But also the player's robots will recharge there if they need to.

Small roboport: a roboport for defence "perimeters", holding some robots to reload and repair gun turrets in a rather small area; their robots should stay at their station, i.e. not wandering around the whole map or get mixed with robots of a fabrication site. They may get their material from an own inventory or simply any provider chest.

The small roboport could be also the solution for the recharge station if it's possible that its area won't connect with areas of other roboports. Robots won't enter it if they are not explicitly assigned to it. They only use it to recharge.
