Hi, I'm new here in factorio forum but pretty average in the game already.
Let's start with Terrains.
We already have lush green forest terrains and barren deserts. How about we take it up a notch and add elevation to it. I mean it might make sense in gameplay-wise. Higher terrain can give an advantage to turret range and maybe slowing movespeed going uphill, and faster downhill. The design, however, i might be considering the early red alert days. You can clearly see there is higher or lower terrain in plain sight and factorio (in my opinion) has the same 2.5d map on it. Imagine having a jeep/buggy and going way too fast on a bump on the map. Maybe some damage, maybe some airtime, hell what if one wheel hits a higher elevation than the other? FLIP IT!
I know this is too much to ask but I'm just giving some insights on making gameplay more interesting in factorio. Having a bit of realism is also a good thing every now and then. In my defense I've been playing for 11 years now, And would definitely want to share my knowledge of gaming to factorio. I mean come on, FACTORIO ROCKS..
I hope the people in the higher up can see this post.

Better forum search for modders: Enclose your search term in quotes, eg. "font_color" or "custom-input" - it prevents the forum search from splitting on hypens and underscores, resulting in much more accurate results.
