Construction bots always trying to repair damaged moving venicles and in most cases they just flying around trying to reach much faster venicle. Eventually bot will spent all its power and will slowly crowl back to roboport/player.
Most annoying is when you have personal robo-port and you driving a car. When you hit tree, bot from your inventory immidiatly tries to fix your car, but car is much faster so you have to slow down and wait until bot will repair damage, rechange battery and get back to inventory.
So, please, make them stop trying to fix moving venicles at all, or add a condition based on speed, like bot will try to repair only venicles that moving slower than bot's speed.
Do not repair moving vehicles with bots.

Re: Do not repair moving venicles with bots.
The second idea seems to be the better way.
Many mods add new bots that are often more than fast enough to keep up the the vehicles. So it would be a shame if they couldn't repair them anymore.

Re: Do not repair moving venicles with bots.
Even faster bots act strange when trying to repair a moving vehicle. They stand still to do the repair work, even if the vehicle as moved on, then chase after it again.
Re: Do not repair moving venicles with bots.
I agree, having to stop for bots is annoying. I don't use "repair while driving" because I don't use mods with faster bots, so first AND second suggestion seems fine to me.
Re: Do not repair moving vehicles with bots.
BTW: This is about the same suggestion:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14598 A small optimization for the personal roboport
And the same is valid for the other way around: If you are sitting in a train riding with 250 and come to a wall that is just a little bit damaged in your robot reach you will loose a bit, that repairs it.
There is also this big list of stuff around logistics:
viewtopic.php?f=80&t=18093 Roboport/Logistic Network/Robot enhancements
But I found now so many links about enhancements for the personal roboport, that I'll create an own thread about that.

Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

Bug not suggestion. Design flaws can't be always marked under suggestions.

Repair bots ejection delay when inside a vehicle
It's a common situation when you drive a car or a tank out in the wild to seek for new resources and suddenly hit a tree or just evading biters in a car. It damages your vehicle a little and construction bot from personal roboport is spawned. Then this poor guy starts chasing you and eventually gets eaten by biters. What I suggest is that construction bots, when character is in a car/tank, come out only if that vehicle is standing still for like 3 seconds. maybe 5.

Re: Do not repair moving vehicles with bots.
Years later, this still seems to be an issue for me.
Since this came up as a search result, here's the workaround I've found: Put your repair packs in logistic trash slots while you're out exploring! Works fine as long as long as there are no logistic robots and/or storage chests around.
