Better Control on Robot

Post by CoolGabrijel »

So I was playing Factorio (and I still am, its on the background) and I got an idea
You see the robots just do random tasks they want and most of the time... I don't like it
I want to assign some robots to do SPECIFIC things (Like a robot going to pick up a electronic circuit to place in a requester chest that makes processing units)
Now it will take ages for ONE robot to go and do that task so it would be good to demand one or more robots doing that specific task.

Too OP? Or bad?

Since you will need one robot atleast for one job then you can't just have 3 jobs for one robot so you will need to assign 3 robots for those 3 jobs (More robots for more jobs == bad)
Currently one robot can do any job (One robot infinite jobs == random choice of which one)

So there could be a research to make this happen eh?

Do leave what you think about this below!

What do you want them to do for you? Why do you think it is easier to assign the bots than to do the job yourself or fully automated?
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.
Have you used the Advanced Search today?

I still like small signatures...

Not easier its just more efficient and its still automated
I just hate how long it takes for one robot to do the specific job I want it to
And when I make 50 robots they do the same task till its finished
Example:
Now:
50 robots vs doing random 3 jobs
50 robots go deliver 50 plates to a chest
Then 50 robots go deliver 50 electronic circuits
Then 50 robots (FINALLY) go deliver 50 processing units
This idea:
50:3=16 robots doing one job (Of the total 3)
16 robots deliver plates while 16 robots deliver circuits while 16 robots deliver processing units
