Biters and animals being able to salvage things from them

I know a recent few days in noob and its possible it may be in the game but

I was surprised that you couldn't get any materials from the biters etc, has this been considered?
Things like hide, sinew, bone etc

This is a frequently suggested idea, I've added your thread to Alien Juice / Handling of Corpses / Recycling Dead [Frequently Suggested / Link Collections]

Also added more info on mods that do this:
Dytech drops the corpse which you can then process further
Bob's Enemies drops small alien artefacts which can be used to make normal alien artefacts.
