When using landfill (tiny brush) and you fill 2 spots at once the fish doesn't get deleted. (if he was there)
If you fill 1 spot and there is a fish, it gets deleted.
In my screenshot i have multiple fish swimming under the ground. Looks like a horror movie
I havent tried it without mods. Will try that later

This is certainly not a bug. Well, it is in a way, but not the way you think. Those "land fish" are the ancient ancestors of the biters. Through aeons of evolution the fish first ventured onto the land and then evolved into what we now call biters.

the same as with offshore pumps when you use landfill over them. Then it is called a well

This as been fixed. Fish now get deleted when you landfill the water around them.
