I searched the bug forums quickly and found nothing citing this in particular.

The shadows under the character and vehicles disappear over piles of dead biters. Looks kind of strange. Obviously not a very detrimental bug to the game.

Hello, welcome to the forum!

Sadly this won't be fixed. In short, rendering engine and the art asserts are made in a way that make this issue unfixable without causing different issues.
