The topic has been locked for no reason, so I restart it here.
It's been about opt-out "features" to help developers to find out what kind of crashes are about to fix them.
No deal about it. It's legit, along with an alpha or beta version. But never in a final version. That's a send-up to all factorio players.
First fact: Opt-in is always a privacy desaster. Read viewtopic.php?f=3&t=57846&start=80#p388714 and following for further information.
Second fact: Factorio developers have built a database to find out their bugs. That's Ok despite building data bases are against all privacy. Please don't do it.
Third fact: To find out such specific crashes it's a legit method to ask a defined range of users to support them by always uploading their crash log. I'll be the last to help if the question is reconstructable!
So, please, do never lock this topic. By locking a question of privacy manner belonging to Factorio game is never a good idea. I assume to reveal the locked topic. So I'm about to lock Factorio's server into my router to never reveal any information. I can't believe that this in thought to any developer.
Thanks for reading.
