Links and their behaviour

I ran across this problem many times now, it's time to report this.
When I click on a link here in the forums, the link is being opened in the same tab. After checking out the page I usually close the tab due to other pages opening links in new tab by default. Then I need to reopen the tab and go back to the forums.
Isn't there a phpBB addon out there to open links in new tabs by default instead of opening them in the same tab?

I'm forgetting this all the time as I'm used to open links in new tabs by simply clicking on them.
