Simply, after you post something to a thread, several navigation options dissapear from the top nav bar with the forums and sub-forums. Please make these buttons avalibe on that page

Hm. That is a basic function of phpbb. 
After a post you will be pushed onto the page, where the form is saved into the database. Then after 3 seconds you are forwarded from where you came.
