MP map upload speed

Post by cpy »

Is there limit on map upload speed? Because it seems it's running way slower than my 100mbit/s upload speed and my friend download speed.

There shouldn't be. Can you send me your log from the MP game? Prefereably a short one, just start game, have the other guy connect as fast as possible, download the map and end game imediately.

Where is that log file? :D
I can't upload any attachement.
I have one crash in log too i guess.

Both crashes after i took car ride in basic modular armor with 2 players online. I was crafting combat shotgun with empty weapon slot in car.
So apparently game crashes when i go inside car with basic power armor. I think i no longer can drive car in this save game :D

Hmm maybe he just have slow download, 2 other players loaded map much faster.

Consider using Iperf to test both TCP and UDP transfer rates for that player, might be an issue with UDP packets being throttled or running into buffer issues (UDP and TCP buffers and packet handling on many home routers are separate).

Also the widespread use of BitTorrent udp protocol might cause issues.
