Annoying sounds in MP

Was watching Arumba's vid in regards to the Swarm session #3 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWbBH9G_7Xw)

Constant beeps when people join / drop. Can this be tweaked (have an option to disable the sound) please. It was giving me a headache trying to listen to you guys
