I've been playing multiplayer with my son on his server (we're not on the same LAN). Everything has worked well until a few days ago. Now I get dropped from his server as soon as the map is loaded.
Steps:
1. The map downloads.
2. My computer loads the map.
3. I get dropped.
The map we were playing reached 20MB a couple days ago, that's when I started getting dropped.
We tried starting a new game and there was no problem.
Has anyone else seen this?
Any suggestions?

Re: Filesize limit in multiplayer?
the one who hosts the game should go into the save zip and remove "replay.dat", which removes the filesize by 40-60%, as it's just the replay file, used if you want to watch a replay of what you did on your run, which i doubt many people have used so far.

Re: Filesize limit in multiplayer?
Afaik there is no limit on the file size. Sounds like you two are experiencing a desync right when you load that drops you from the game. Try loading one of your earlier autosaves. If you still desync at ~20mb then i expect you have a bad connection between you two that times out once in a while, which is only noticable when downloading larger files. If you are not on 0.12.20 then update to that version of factorio as it's the newest version.
