I have notice the download takes time now thanks of its both peer to peer and that the map size has reached over 30 MB. so be patien but please do check your internet if its going way to slow. 2-3 min max wait time should only be allowed at this point. for each conection.

How about a web app that can edit a whitelist on your server? I know a little Ruby on Rails. "Devise gem" and you've got e-mail authenticated database of users that you can automatically whitelist (after verifying e-mail).

That would be helpful - I've been thinking of making one myself but until 0.13 hits and we get to see what kind of authentication/whitelist wube implements there it feel a bit like wasted effort.

If you decide to make such a web app however I'd be happy to give it a spin

are you sue you have the correct version of factorio installed? as per the first post here I've updated the server to 0.12.30
