Multiplayer mods

Hi, I am new to Factorio. I wanted to play multiplayer, but some servers had mods that I did not have. Do I have to find and install all that I need or is there way to get mods of servers all at once ? If not it would be nice to add something like downloading automatically all mods that selected server needs. Thanks for answers, have a nice day

There is nothing like that atm. For some servers the host will make available a modpack which is basically a zipped mod folder, but there is no ingame way to find and download it. Sometime those servers also run customised versions of mods, so if a modpack is available, you should use it, rather than using mods from the mod portal.

The developers have said they plan to add downloading mods from multiplayer servers. Hopeful it will be part of the mod rewrite that is on the roadmap for 0.16.

if you see any i-craft servers you can visit the serverlist page
on that page all mods are listed and can be downloadet in one blow without worring just unpack the zip/rar into your factorio folder. and start your game.
